Hello everyone! We're having some scheduling conflicts and didn't get a chance to record horror news this week. So we're bringing you some horror news here! We hope you enjoy!

Here are some of the top horror news this week

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?! Creepy Black 2,000 year old Coffin found in Egypt:

Archaeological digs around ancient Egyptian sites still have plenty of secrets to give up yet – like the huge, black granite sarcophagus just discovered at an excavation in the city of Alexandria, on the northern coast of Egypt.

What really stands out about the coffin is its size. At 185 cm (72.8 inches) tall, 265 cm (104.3 inches) long, and 165 cm (65 inches) wide, it's the biggest ever found in Alexandria. It's huge! It's creepy! It's probably contains a terrifying curse that will of epic movie proportions (we're talking a potential trilogy here) Apparently it hasn't been opened since it was sealed shut over 2,000 years ago (to obviously seal in a curse).

According to Science Alert, this is extraordinarily uncommon when talking about Egyptian tombs, as “archaeologists rarely find a final resting place that’s still intact like this one appears to be.”

Oh yeah! and let's not forget the fucking huge alabaster head discovered in the same tomb. Experts are assuming it represents whoever is buried in the sarcophagus, though that's yet to be confirmed.

We will update you guys on what these scientists find (if they live to tell the tale)

Sabrina the Teenage Witch Teaser

“Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”

Something wicked this way comes…. The @sabrinanetflix account is up and running. Getting closer….this is going to be a wild ride. Get onboard! pic.twitter.com/Sl9KI0MLsE

Whoa! Talk about major creepsville? Well, the show will take place in Sabrina's hometown Greendale.

A poster for the series was released on the 13th. The series is set to be an hour-long drama that will reimagine the story of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age tale that traffics in horror, the occult and witchcraft. Twenty episodes have been ordered across two seasons.

Don't forget to Limber Up before you jump for joy at this news!

All the original cast is coming back along with the director of the first Zombieland  Ruben Fleischer! I'm a HUGE Emma Stone and Woody Harrelson fan and I can't wait to see them reprise their roles as Wichita and Tallahassee. Jesse Eisenberg will be back to play Colombus and Abigail Breslin will be returning as Little Rock.

The original writers, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, are also back to write the script.

The film will begin production January 2019 and has an October 2019 release date.

In Zombieland 2, “through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the Zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.”

Gavin Polone returns as producer, with Reese and Wernick executive producing.

Target Halloween Line

Hold onto your butts! If you're as much of a Halloween fanatic as I am, I bet you'll super excited that Target just released their 2018 Halloween decor line. You gotta love Target, they really have everything you need to get a jump start on your Halloween (everyday) decorating.

Note: At Home and Joanne Fabrics already have their Halloween decor out and for sale. You're welcome.

Hocus Pocus Funkos

Funko is releasing a Spirit Halloween Exclusive figures in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Hocus Pocus.

These adorable figures are just waiting for a virgin to light the black flame candle on All Hallows Eve.

Summer Movie Marathon!

It's summertime! We know that most of us are just trying to make it through to sweet sweet Autumn where the trees change color, there is a chill to the air and Jack-o-lanterns letting of a warm spooky glow. Until then we have to deal with bugs, sun, unbearable heat, and the sun. So to make the wait more bearable I, Ellie, have compiled some good ol Summer horror flicks that you can enjoy from the sweet sweet indoors where the AC is blasting and the pesky sun is blocked by blackout drapes.

Movie # 1: Friday the 13th

Hey everyone! Let's go to a camp in the middle of nowhere where some kid died and then partake in sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Not on Mrs. Voorhees watch! Yes, Jason doesn't make his dazzling appearance until the final moments of the film where our soul survivor think she's finally safe and the nightmare is over. Nah girl, it's just begun!

Movie # 2: Nightmare on Elm Street

For me, when there's Jason, there's Freddy. I remember when I first watched this movie and was afraid to sleep for weeks. Even though this movie doesn't take place during the summer like the other movies on this list, it's one of the Slasher essentials for me.

Movie # 3: Jaws

Afraid of open water like me? Well this movie will fuel your TOTALLY REASONABLE FEAR OF OPEN WATER BECAUSE WTF IS IN THE OCEAN?! Killer sharks apparently. This poor tourist beach town is having all their summer fun ruined by a huge bloodthirsty shark. I'll stick to pools thanks!

Movie # 4: Sleepaway Camp

These kids can't catch a break! One of the reasons I love this movie are all the creative ways to kill people and I really related to Angela since the poor girl is constantly be bullied because she's a shy weirdo. This movie was creative with killings and had a awesome twist ending.

Movie # 5: I Know What You Did Last Summer

Man oh man! Don't drink and drive kids. It puts your lives and the lives of others at risk. Julie, Ray, Helen, and Barry find this out the hard way.

Movie # 6: The Evil Dead

GROOVY! This movie is a classic horror film that really creeps you the fuck out. Full of unsettling imagery and situations where poor Ash has to decide if he should kill his friends or try to save them from the ancient evil that is taking them over. And there's chainsaws soooo that's fun.

Movie # 7: Cabin In The Woods

This movie is actually one of my favorite horror movies of all time. It doesn't take itself too seriously while it plays with all sorts of classic horror tropes while remaining downright scary. Evil mermaids, crazy inbred backwoods murder family, and killer unicorns? This movie has it all!

Well that's it for this movie marathon! If you enjoyed it let us know and we will happily make more!

Stay Spooky!

Special Podcast Announcement - Schedule Change and More

Hi listeners, Nora here! We have some big and important changes coming up for the podcast, some of which concern our schedule of release and some exciting new things that we’re bringing to you...

The TL;DR of This Announcement: Instead of releasing an episode weekly, we’ll be releasing an episode every other Friday. We’ll be resuming our regular weekly upload schedule sometime in April or May.

Okay, So Here’s What’s Up With That:

Ellie and I LOVE running this podcast. For me, it’s the highlight of my week when I get to record with Ellie and then show off the episode that we’ve been working on. However, we run this podcast while also managing our daily lives and day jobs (and Ellie somehow manages to work two jobs and run this podcast LIKE A CHAMP. How does she do it???) We also have big plans to work on other stuff for fans of the Heebie Jeebie Babes Podcast to enjoy, so we’ve been working on those on the sidelines.

However, some stuff has come up that is preventing us from releasing one good episode per week AND working on our other stuff. We put quality over quantity when we produce each episode, so we decided to temporarily change our schedule to ensure that the episodes we give you are good.

What’s Next?

Ellie and I are collaborating with some podcasters and YouTube contributors that we LOVE, so you’ll probably be finding us with some of your favorite channels and podcasts. We’re also working on some episode specials that we hope you’ll find exciting.

By the time we’re back up to our regular schedule, we hope to have a Patreon for you guys and some merch (if you’re interested). What we’d need from you guys is your support, so any tweets, emails, or social media comments that tell us what you’d like to see more from us will be super helpful.

In the Meantime...

Until we start bringing you weekly episodes again, Ellie and I will be updating this blog on a weekly basis. As mentioned above, you may also see us on some of your favorite YouTube channels or podcasts, so make sure to keep an eye out and give us a shout-out when you can!

If YOU want to support us on Patreon or buy some merch, make sure to reach out and tell us what you want to support/buy. You may see it in the lineup when we release both!

So Anyway, Thanks!

We’re loving the wonderful support that we’re getting from you all so far.  We feel so lucky to have some wonderfully fun fans. Thank you for sticking with us as we improve, and don't forget to stay spooky!
